Technical knowledge such as this is taught at Shore- crest art classes so that in un- derstanding basic concepts, the student can control his visual art. With this control, he can say something meaningful. John Carlson, Art Hialmer Andersen, Study Hall The last screw in the wiring for a large wooden lamp is twisted into place. This proiect is being finished at the school shop which is open one evening a week, Boys can use school equipment to work on any proi- ect they wish. The industrial arts department stresses the voca- tional use of industrial skills. For this reason people from different occupations are invited to talk to the classes.
