A crisp October day and our hard-fought 34-33 victory over Lock Haven State 'Col- lege formed the backdrop for 'Shippensburg States 1965 Homecoming festivities. Mrs. Jane Boyer. Fox, the 1964 queen, crowned Miss Sandi Dent, who reigned over the events of the day. During the half-time ceremonies, Miss Dent awarded trophies to the winners in' the float contest, the theme of which was A Page from the Funnies. The recipients were the class of 1969, with Popeye ; the Business Club, with Yogi Bear ; and the Brotherhood of Sigma Pi, with Huckle- berry Hound. After awarding the trophies, Miss Dent was escorted by Dr. Heigese to the President's Box as an honored guest. J.VWH-f t-vuzjtvrfg'w e A 3- , g .. 3P3
