HITM nv fx? 'Wk P 4 Z 1 t I BU5 Q Traffic In Learning Surges Gnward The milestones on our high school road through education are many. As seniors, we can look back over the road which we have traveled, but which the underclassmen still have before them. Sometimes the road is a 3-lane highway and the sophomores, juniors, and seniors each stay in their own lane. However, not all the road is divided and much of the time, instead of traveling as individual classes, we travel to- gether as a high school, working for the same goals and purposes and enjoying the same activities. Guiding and directing us along the way is the faculty. In addition to teaching many class- es, they are always ready to in- struct, to advise, and to help us with our many problems. 'Q f'-f Suu? In our sophomore year, from nominations presented by the faculty, Dale Kann was elected presidentg Lester Clippinger, vice-presidentg Linda jones, secretaryg and Alan Gamble, treasurer. ln our junior and senior years, a new proce- dure was introduced. By getting enough students' signatures, any student could be a candidate for an office. After petitions were circulated, an election was held. The results for both years were the same. We elected .Tim LeDane, presi- dentg Chester jones, vice-president: Linda jones, secretaryg and Mary Ann Beyers. treasurer, listlter Mae Albright lisllmr .Une WCW 32 l-Iilflt ll Future Homo makers ol America 2, 3: Dancing I: Chorus 2: Booster Club fl: Driver 'Training 2: Intramurals 1 'P il Beatrice Ann Altlier Ben Arm Library l. 3, Yite'l'resident fl: Business Club l, 2. 3. Student Council Sponsors Many School Activites The Student Council of the Senior High School, which consists of one elected representative and one alternate representative from each of the home rooms, was established for the general purpose of developing better student leadership as well as citizenship. The Student Council also does its best to promote better faculty-student relationships. The council is an organization to which the student body, the administration, and the faculty may bring mutual problems. However, the Student Council does not limit itself to the task of student governing, but it sponsors many special projects for the enter- tainment and enjoyment of the school as well as the community.
