Realizing my danger cold beads of perspiration broke out on my forehead. The Artic air was so cold that the beads froze into balls of ice. I seized one of the balls of ice and rammed it down my gun as a bullet. Aiming at the bearys head I fired, but the heat of the gun melted the ball of ice and it came out as water. For a minute I thought I was gone, but the cold air again froze the water into ice and pierced the bears head above the right eye.
