cw lflm-X W ll fi . Ulla 5,1200 Qs- - me Q1 Je' Our Forms of Out Door Exercise Soccer Foot Ball is one ofthe most popular forms of sport in our school, especially during the fall season. A collection was taken up at the first of the season and a very good grade of foot ball was bought. Although we have not formed a foot ball team, we have some very fine material with which we could put the name of 'lOld Shiocn, quite close to the top, provided we had the necessary amount of practicing space and equipment. Our lield is very small and has never been given any attention. Though no equipment has as yet been bought, at- tempts are being made to provide the school with the required equip- ment by the time school opens again next year. Calisthenics was supervised by Mr. Kozelka. who took charge of the boys and Miss Nemacheck and Miss Beck took charge ofthe girls. At the beginning of the school term calisthenics was carried on every Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from three thirty to four o'clock, but toward the latter part ofthe season calisthenics was alternated with other forms of exercise: the boys had calisthenics on Tuesdays and soccer foot ball on Thursday, while the girls changed from calisthenics to volley ball in the same manner. Our baseball team will begin to organize as soon as the Weather per- mits. ln the past years our baseball teams have broken up as soon as school was out but it is hoped that this year the members will co- operate so that in the fall we will have a team to compete against the neighboring communities. -f tt-12 Nw- , V .we , 1' 4 91- . Realizing my danger cold beads of perspiration broke out on my forehead. The Artic air was so cold that the beads froze into balls of ice. I seized one of the balls of ice and rammed it down my gun as a bullet. Aiming at the bearys head I fired, but the heat of the gun melted the ball of ice and it came out as water. For a minute I thought I was gone, but the cold air again froze the water into ice and pierced the bears head above the right eye. However, the heat of the bears head again melted the ice and it didn't hurt the bear at all, but he died of water on the brain. WANTED-A detective-must be acquainted with Saxophone music.
