The programs consisted of: llarliamentary Law, debate, topics of today, and songs. The prime object of the society was to enable its members to hold public meetings in the proper Way. This was easy to accomplish as the society adviser had Robert's Rules ol' Order summarized and supplied each member with a copy. At first the agents would brag up, The strength of this little car, And the way the big cars are set up, They couIdn't run near so far. And after enough of this pesting I thought I would make up my mind And get that Ford a testing And leave the agents behind. And when the paper was written, That the car belonged to rre, The engine wasn't a Hspittenn But buzzed along like a bee. The body and wheels were a glossy black, The tires looked wonderfully good: There was nothing that looked bad in fact, A good engine was under the hood. The cushions were made of leather The best that ever were madeg They were soft, just like a feather, And guaranteed never to fade. Running it, was the first thing For me to learn you know, And when I was ready my ears didn't ring, I was just afraid to go. Then finally I did get started, And down the road I shotg The engine kicked and snorted, And the radiator sure got hot. I was all by myself just then, And didn't know what to do: Then I saw in front of me a hen, But it didn't take long she Hew. You ought to see that Hivver hop When I got near the city, Though I was in fear of seeing a cop, An then myself would pity. And after a time of this toiling I got her under control, I noticed the radiator was boiling, In the tire was a terrible hole. I started to fix the tire, Giving the engine time to cool: Though it was as hot as fire, And I said, Why did I go like a fool,
