' .' .4 , .ly- ik lv -f:1:a:g'lfLli ' ' Ang lla- Y The Freshmen VVe, the freshmen of 1924, came marching into High in the fall of 1923. VVe came wild as the hills and carefree as the wind, but after eight months of battling with English, Algebra, Science and Civics, and trying to succeed with the necessities of life we find ourselves still united but our wild nature is calmed and we are keener in brain and more dignified and proud within ourselves to Find that we have fought our lirst battle and won. VVe have also gone through initiation. Some of us shudder to think of that terrible night, but we all lived through it. Since then there have been many things to entertain us, such as Lyceum, Shows and debate. Our class consists of twenty three members. Anna Kelly is our class comedian whom we could not do without. Madeline and Edna Greenwalt who are always together, they and Myrtle and Edna May are our gigglers. We have in our midst two declamatory contestants and one orator. They are Myrtle Mans- field, Bernadine Qualley and Raymond Steward. VVe can also boast of two trappersfhunters4hookey players, YVarren Tyler and Tom Morse. There are also demure little girls in our class. There is Louise and Alice Voigt, our blood curdling story writer. She can write stories that make Miss Nemacheck shudder and make her teeth chatter. Then there is Gertrude Hallaran our one girl who has not bobbed her hair. Russel Noach is never in time for school. VVe also have a heart smasher in our midt, Edna May Town. Edna Van Horn, Genevera Erwin and Irene Lettman are always seen together, only Edna is absent when Genevera and Irene play hookey. We have another good little girl, Jennie Peebles, she is good but, Oh! My. Our Class Oihcers are: Prefidmzz . . MADELINE MORSE Secretary . . .
