S 4 Qllfllll SsijHHw QLHQQ 2 + mb ,,... ,...... m When we arrived in Plymouth, Ohio, I heard the strains of a band and sure enough on the corner by the bank building was MARLYN BRUNN playing her symbols, drum, and piccolo. I stopped and asked what on earth was going on, and was informed that Joe had run away with a Hula Girl ten years ago, so she had joined the Salvation army and was their most active member, black hat and all. Poor girl! I'asked her where her childhood chum, BETTY ERNST was, and with an old mald's sigh, she told me Betty was touring the country with a side-show of Barnum k Bailey s Circus, as the only woman alive who could giggle for a solid hour without breathing!! When I finally reached Shiloh, I decided first to visit the school, and upon entering I saw a typewriter whirl dizzlly from the typing room door. Walking into the room, I found VIRGINIA KIRKENDALL d h an s s in- formed me that she was trying to teach Doug Amstutz to type. By now she was a commerci 1 t a eacher, and poor Doug was still a Junior in High. It seemed she even used violence! I then strolled down town, and as I passed Mur h 's I heard di p y a ra o blasting the Ohio State football game. When I listened more closely I lea d th D rne at ICK CLARK was quarter-back for that team!! The crowd at M O v urphy s was so excited they were throw1ng candy boxes out the front door! When I finally caught my breath, I walked on down the street, and was interested 1 n a gayly painted sign advertising 'Chicken Dinnern. I became interested and entered to find a quaint little restaurent. In ine corner sat my dear old friend LEATRICE MHITCOMB KILGOHE ith H3ffJE3GfS ,:::3:3.g.- ,:,:5' :3yff,5313E3' , Q. fi ,,,.. , W 8 love- . .....
