StaJJ of The Junior High 5 ADVISERS: MR. LAMBERTUS MR, ROHRMAN The newspaper, which had not been published since 1962, was reorganized at the Junior High School this year under a new name, The Junior High SHIELD . This name was chosen by the staff from some two hundred and fifty entries in a Name the Newspaper contest. Mike Hill and Mike Simpson, both eighth graders, submitted identical entries and were the winners. Though it had a late start, through the capable leadership of co-editors Doug Richardson and Carolyn Anderson and advisers Mr. Lambertus and Mr. Rorhman, the newspaper soon moved forward with rollicking speed. It appeared twice a month throughout the year and sold for seventy- five cents per semester. It addition to its being a worthwhile method of publicity for the school, it provided valuable writing and other experience to a number of freshmen and eighth graders who were on its staff. MR.
