OUR SCHOOL IN ACTION What is a school? Everyone knows what a school is, but has anyone consulted the dictionary for a definition? The dictionary defines a school as — 1. An institution for the teaching of children, 2. An institution for specialized education within a building. 3. The process of teaching and learning. 4. Teaching, drilling, and disciplining in a specific knowledge or skill. Shields Junior High School easily meets these four requirements for a good, well- balanced education for its nine hundred and eighty students who daily attend their classes . On this page is the main building of our school. As the students enter this building each day they have the opportunity to pursue their educational processes to their fullest capacity.
