The elaborate stage settings, the authentic costuming, the complicated dialogue and musical scores, all well-done, contributed to the huge success of the production. The members of the cast, including the entire Dramatics Club delighted the audience with their particular performances. No one who saw South Pacific will forget Danny Henkle in his interpretation of the Hawaiian hula. Julie Noelker and Pat O ' Connor were very convincing in their parts of Nellie Forbush, the Navy nurse and Emilie DeBecque, the South Sea Gentleman landowner. For outstanding performance in their roles Julie Noelker and Danny Henkle were awarded the Dramatics Oscarettes at Honor Day. This year as the yearbook goes to press, Mr. Boley and his Dramatics Club of approximately seventy-five are practicing on the musical production of Annie Get Your Gun which will be presented on April 5th and 6th of this year, 1963. Connie Goecker is playing the role of Annie and John Spray opposite her as Frank Parker. 40
