We Healli jUaoJied o iAjiciAd a Special ap fieH t( But life at S. H. S. wasn ' t all in the classroom. There were lots of special events that we looked forward to and participated in. Just before the Christmas season, local merchants and organizations had their annual parade, and our favorite float was the one on which a portion of the choir rode. Yes, we sang and nearly froze in the process. The choir and band sang and played in the It ' s A Date production at our school which helped to swell our music department funds. Some of us portrayed famous people such as The Andrew Sisters and Lily Pons while a number of us learned dance routines and were called the Rockettes. Another special event for us was the appearance of The Owl twice each month. We took time out at the end of fourth period to read over the events of the school — and to see if our names were there.
