CLASS HISTORY The graduatnng class of 1959 ns somewhat smaller than the class of thlrty which entered hugh school In the fall of 1955 Wlth Dtana Powers as President Pat Muller as Vice President and Rachel Nelson as Secretary Treasurer we ordered our class rlngs and have dlsplayed Them proud ly slnce the day of their arnval Mlss Beldlng was appolnted to The posltlon of class advisor and Mary Ellen Stanton and Glenn Chamberlaln were elected to represent the Freshmen In Student Council Our second year of hugh school started off wtth a hlghly successful magazine sale Under the drrectlon of Mrs Bullard and our class offlcers President Nevin Camp Vrce Presldent Dlana Powers Secretary Joy Jacobs and Treasurer Ann Bell by the class treasury rose considerably Our Sophomore dance Sprung Hop and The entertalnment for the Senior Banquet completed our actlvltles for the year Eltzabeth Pfanner and Pat Muller were elected our representatives In Student Coun Our Junior year was a busy one Nancy Rogers was our leader Don Relster the assistant Nevln Camp our recorder and Don Slmkln had control of our money We conducted a fund ralslng statlonery sale and sponsored a roller skating party We worked hard on the Junlor Prom Rhapsody In Blue of which Nancy Rogers was Queen and Nevrn Camp Kung Our last actuvlty was provtdnng entertainment for the Senior Banquet In conlunctnon with The Sophomore class Raydon Berger stock and Rachel Nelson were our Student Council representatuves The Sentor year was our busuest and passed The fastest of the four years Joy Jacobs and Gary Gordon were our Student Counctl representatnves whlle Mary Ellen Stanton was President Raydon Bergerstock Vlce President Carol Hastlngs Secretary and Tom Rose Treasurer To complete our fund raustng drrve for that all Important trlp we sold Christmas cards and sponsored un conlunctnon with the Junlors the Junnor Sensor play Books and Crooks Our biggest money maktng proposttlon was a concession stand at the home basketball games The reward for the work whtch went Into our actlvrtles came on our excxtlng and unforgettable trlp to Washington D C Thus another class ns graduated from Sherwood Central Ieavrng behlnd many fnends and fond memories 1 1 - I - 1 . . . , I 1 1 1 F 1 ' - 11 ' 11 1 - 1 1 ' 1 I 1 ' - 11 - 11 - 1 1 , . 1 1 1 1 1 1 I ' 1 1 . . . ,, ,, . . 1 ' 1 ' , . .
