SUPERVISING PRINCIPAL Dear Echo Reader, Visit our school today with our Valedictorian. At 8:20 she is starting her school day as she boards the bus. As she reviews her notes for Chemistry, her pal in- terrupts with, What did you do this weekend? At 8:55 she arrives at school. Fin- gers get stained, but the experiment is proven. Study hall next-prepare for English class. Speeches are taped on the recorder, so let's play it back, and see how she sounded. Does my voice sound like that? Off to gym class. Volleyball-she likes it because it's team play and fun. Lunch at last. Starved? As yearbook editor, she must line up her workers for tonight's session after school. How did you like my speech? What color is your New York suit? Conversation and eating are synonymous. Homemaking Club meets today. Plans are being made for a teacher tea on St. Patrick's Day-refreshments, com- mittees, etc. Tomorrow she practices for the spring concert or songs for graduation. Her favorite song is I Believe. Typing class next-practice on manuscripts and senior thesis. Yearbook deadline is March 13th. Study Hall follows-lay out work for after school meeting of Echo staff. Dismissal-Staff starts to work. My cheerleading skirt needs pressing be- fore the game. Bus time--home again. And so another school day has passed-a very typical day for our busy valedictorian at Sherwood Central. Have you enjoyed the day's visit, worked and played hard? Learned something new? Made a new friend? Planned and shared an experience with others? Volunteered information? Acted as a leader? Played on a team? Perhaps then you will be our future valedictorian, Echo editor, or cheerleader, and earn equal credit and honor. Congratulations to our editor and her staff! -+1 if
