Dirty Dirty Work at the Crossroads”, the fall play, was a melo- drama which gave the audience a chance to boo the evil villain Munro Murgatroyd as he tried to coerce the lovely young heroine, Nellie Lovelace, into giving up control of her property. But, in the end Nellie was saved by the shady Ida Rhinegold, and was able to marry her sweetheart, Adam Oakhart. Along the way, the plot offered the audi- ence many an unexpected twist as well as several songs of the Gay 90’s. A small cast worked hard to produce the play, and the results were every bit as good as Sherrard play-going audi- ences have come to expect. With a musical presented every spring, the drama department has been trying to offer a variety of fall plays, ranging from comedy to serious drama to melodrama over the last three years. The Bowl-A-Thon Goes on! The 5th annual MDA bowl-a-thon was held at Sam's bowling alley in Milan, on March 12, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. Only 17 bowlers participated this year. Howev- er the bowler’s raised approximately $630 which is $800 less than last year. The students had lots of fun showing off to their friends. Even though the amount of money raised was down, it proved to be an exciting afternoon. Next year hopefully more people will join in on all the fun!
