It Was A Zombies Night Out The Pom Pon and Cheerleading squads had a sock hop following the October 30 football game. The boys defeated Monmouth to start the night out right. Admission to the dance was either one dollar or one sack of candy. The Pom Pon squad dressed up in their zombie costumes for the half- time show and remained in costume for the sock hop. The Cheerleaders and Pom Pon girls provided the mun- chies, while the students provided the music by bringing in their favorite tunes. Top Anissa Hartman is looking rather good tonight Bottom Left Kristi Amundsen and Dan Hernandez enjoy the good music Bottom Right Jennifer Hutchins and Cheree Anthony take time out to pose for a picture 16 Sock Hop

SHS Students “Get Excited” Students of Sherrard High School got really excited this year root’n for the Ti- gers. Pep Assemblies proved to be the best way to show our school spirit. Students, especially those seniors, enjoyed missing part of sixth hour to “get excited about their favorite team. Cheers were lead by the Varsity and Ju- nior Varsity. Cheerleaders. And all joined in on our school song, while the pom pon girls and cheerleaders performed. Seniors seemed to have dominated over the spirit stick this year, for being the loudest and most spirited class. Better luck next year Juniors! Top We're so excited! Left When’s my turn? Right Here comes the King Marty Anderson Pep Assemblies 15

MORP DANCE If you have ever worked hard for a long time to achieve the “casual look,” you can sympathize with the American Field Service members who plan and decorate for the MORP dance each fall. MORP. of course, is PROM spelled backwards. Everything else is about the opposite of Prom. The themes for every MORP dance are entertainment and getting to know the AFS foreign students better in an informal situa- tion. The dance is one of several fund raisers which enable the AFS to contri- bute to the support of exchange strdents like Brendi and Roque. Can you imagine what this year would have been like without them? The AFS Chapter is grateful to all who supported them this year, not only at MORP, but in all their activities. Top: Our MORP King and Queen: Rich Bosold and Kristen Benedict Lower Left: Carrying the crowns and flowers are AFS President Cathy Handley and exchange students Brendaley Danin and Roque Pinilla Lower Right: Having fun Nicky Neumann?
