Players and coaches from Riverdak . .„WAviU«, Kockridge, Orion, Monmouth, and Abingdon complimented our players by saying they were good hitters. I am proud that we played aggressively enough to receive those compliments. This team also hit hard during the weekly practice sessions, harder than any team that I have been associated with for the last six years. They competed well ■’ d broke or tied records in the weight, di ance, and sprint events. With outstanding individuals like Mike Hall, Dan Hohl, and Tom Calderone there was a good basis for a strong and successful track team. Much work by all team members also added greatly to our success. In one statement--this year was excellent and I enjoyed coaching them very much. inexperienced but enthusiastic would best describe the 1976 girls’ track team. With hard work by Jyla Frye, Linda Lambert, and kuth Hergert--as well as other team members--excellent progress was made this first year. Much track know-how was gained in a season that finished with a respectable .500 dual meet record. The future looks very good with many fine track girls on the Freshman and Sophomore team. --Joel Brunsvoid Activities Magazine Sales A rn High o Keep Yearbook Costs Low Above: Sophomore $50 Dollar Club--Chris nnderson, Jerry Moseley, Bobbie Rogers, Roxie Tolley, Pam Steele, Carol Pearce, Renee Alexander, Linda Pahl. Androcles ana me Lion In November the Thespians presented a children's storybook classic. In this story Androcles, a slave, performs a kind deed for a lion, who had a thorn in his paw. Through this Samaritan act, a complicated web is spun. During this adventure one will meet Pantalone, a miser who owns Androcles and is also the guardian of Isabella. She is in love with Lelio. Isabella and Lelio live in fear of their secret. Pantalone does not want the couple to marry because he would lose Isabella's fortune of which he is keeper.
