Future Teachers of America— Quest for Quality” The Sherrard Chapter of the Future Teachers of America, a group of thirty members, first met on October 5 electing as officers: Nina Rhodenbaugh, President; Carol Welsh, Vice-President; and Rose Mary Klingebiel, Secretary-Treasurer. We were honored to have Miss Joyce Lebermann and Mrs. Juanita Schutte as our sponsors. At our monthly meetings held at Sherrard High School, we saw the films Skippy and the 3 R's, We Choose Teaching-about Illinois State Normal University, and A Desk for Billie. Our Northwest Regional Meeting was held at Port Byron this year. We enjoyed the film And Gladly Teach' which was shown in the morning session. We had a lunch at noon followed by a short afternoon meeting. We won an award at this meeting for having the most boys present--a book on rockets and jets.
