Memories of good times, embarrassing moments, sunprise tests thy somehow unsympathetic teachersi, will crowd upon you. Some people will remember a special dance, a spectacular run or pass in a football game, or others will recall a particular conference with a principal or guidance counselor, an unexpected A --or D -- on a test and have a pang of longing for those I'good A.A. Farina old days . I, too, will look back upon this year with a great deal of satis- faction. This is a class with true character, with a strong backbone, with a great desire to excel in all areas. We, as a staff, are proud of you for the fine efforts you have made in all school areas: in academic achievement, in deportment, and in physical prowess. A class of such character is sure to make a proud name for itself in the years to come. Congratulations, and best wishes for the years ahead. The voyage of junior high is over for you. To most of you, this three-year voyage has not seemed long. It has however, been a stormy one at times, as torrents of homework, tests, and book reports rained down upon hose 3 rms were weathered, sails righted, uc ess v age he b 9 completed. i Before the sehior I gh yage begins, each one of you should make sure that all the provisions used in junior high are fortified so that this next jour- Roger Cerutti ney may run more smoothly and be even more successful. Such provisions as good study habits, wise use of time, promptness, and neatness are but a few of the necessities of a successful trip. Most of you will weather the trip in fine style as you did in junior high and will set many records along the way that will be difficult to surpass. Bon Voyage and good luck to a fine group of-students. There is no such thing as an Ex-Shermanite , only former Shermanites. None of you can erase the experiences good, bad, or indifferenti, through which you have lived while attending Sherman School. You have served your school in many ways: athletics, Cheerleading, Student Council, Newspaper, Yearbook, scholarship, and in other areas. Those challenges you have now met and conquered. Now you are about to face a new and greater challenge which we at Sherman School have tried to prepare you for. Theodore Abbott Remember this; If you can't do extraordinary things; do ordinary things extraordinarily well. It has been my pleasure to know you and to have worked with many of you. Bon Voyage on your trip to further education and good luck. Y T L U C A F Miss DeSart Miss Kaub Mrs. Zastrow Mr. Stauber . e ijX Miss Gajewsld. Mr. Wolf Mrs. Raguae ibeclica lion We wish to dedicate our 1963 yearbook to Mr. Abbott, because he has helped us so much . during our years at Sherman Junior High.
