As a devoted teacher, Mr. Mason has instructed many young people in the basic preparation for finding their places in life. As a conscientious coach, has taught his players to play two games, football and the game of 1iving. Through his keen sense of humor, bits of philosophy are shared with all who come in contact with him. The Spotlight pauses on one who is a good director and p1ayer, while his friends and many, many admirers applaud him with, Thank you, Mr. Mason for your contribution to the Sherman community, and best wishes for many happy and prosperous years in your drama. 5 .xii Assistant Principal, Science Teacher, Chairman of Senior Advisers-- HAROLD E. BOWNE Thy purpose firm is equal to the deed: Who does the best his circumstances allows Does well, acts noblyg angels could do no more. --Edward Young For more than thirty years, Mr. Bowne has acted nobly for Sherman High through his loyalty as a student and as a teacher. Stage Directors Principal AVERLEY CI, BROWN A.B., Morris llarvey and MA., Marshall College. This is his second year in service as Director, but his eighth year on Sherman's stage.
