They vowed that we were lazy and would never graduate, When the seniors discovered that we were going to wreck the school or wreck ourselves trylng, they tr1ed to calm us.Lor0 than one Freshman was pushed through the glass doors of the bookcase at the bac' of the room. Finally, although many people refused to believe it, we were seniors I don't know if we have lived up to the dedateness seniors are supposed to possess or not,but at any rate we were in our last year of high school At the first of this year we found N6 had lost our class orator Sylve ter la s mio had joined the Air Corps The first major event of each year is the hare and hound chase Always before,we had been the hounds but we were hares this year, We thought we had fooled the underclassmen as to vhere we were going, but as always, the news leaked out and the hounds were there sooner than they should have been After the fare nd hound chase we heard tha Wide open spaces calling us So hurried plans :ere made for a trip to Mount Katahdin The party consistt of the majority of the class, four teachers, and a few alurni The expedition started one frlday night at about 10 30 e were so exhausted vhen we got there that We hastny made camp at the foot of the Mountain and thought that we would g t some sleep before starting our climb to the camp ite part Way upthe we got nearly an hour's rest The next day We tramped all over the mountain, and we slept much better that night than we did the night before One of th girls had to be carri d down the mountain on stretcher becaus of n attack of appendicitis fe arrived home late that night We were determined to put on a play this 5 ar and prorised our selves lt would be a success That it was, both arti tically and financially Our next important happ ning 13 th V l ntin B ll We dressed the hall up like a Cind rella and Jer pl sed with th esults O O - - , .
