BOYS' BASKETRALL The boys' basketball team of Sherman Ulgh was very successful th1 wear They not only had the lnterest school behlnd them but the lnterest of the town p ople throughout the sea on The team played a number of games outslde of the league ach game was played w1th hard work and persistenoy Some of these games were Presque Isle, Future W ruers, Easton and Llnooln The team's average score per game for the year vas 34 polnts The opponent average score 24 points flthough several bovs of the maln team will be graduat ing thls year, the town people, as well as Sherlan Uigh, are hoplng for some good gam s next year The followlng ooy ' will T9Cb1V8 letters Joe Foy Nerle Bouchard Laurence fatterson Rodney Clark Bob Clark Balne Perry OUR TRIP TO EASTLRW On January 5, lSeO the Sherman girls' and boys' basket ball team packed up their sults and went on thelr best trlp of the season The team had to leave in the afternoon be cause th trlp was qulte long ach player was taken to sup per by an aston boy or girl The games be an at 7 50 and both of the Sherman teams won after a hard battle The girls won by a largln of four points, l3 to 0 and the bogs won by a score of 39 to 10 after the games a dance took place for the Sherman teams and muslc wa fUT1lSh6d by thelr local orchestra This trip should be taken every year lf a game can be arranged W1tH the aston teams Vvery person vho went on thls trip a1d it was the best of the year, not only the trip ltself but the way they were treated by the aston people. SiERHnN WINS W Y TO TOUPNEY The Y V League had very evenly matched teams thls year compared Wlth other years At the tlme of the tourney at Presque Isle, Patten and Sherman were tled for first place Both teams had been defeated twice and the tie off was to be played February 13, at Hodgdon The great night finally came and both teams were in their best condition.
