Sherman's School Board Implements New Policies Seven members headed by their president Dr. Geer McKee, comprise Sherman's school board -the school district's policy-making body. Their meetings each second Tuesday of the month are held at their boardroom at 120 West King. The board discharges several responsibilities. ln addition to for- mulating policies, these include interpreting educational guidelines, analyzing and approving budgetary requests and establishing goals and objectives for the system. It is important to note that the school board does not have the responsibility of actually running our school system. The system is run by the superintendent of schools. Dr. Wendall Hubbard, who has been the superintendent for 25 years, is serving his last full year in this position. The Sherman ISD School Board for the 1985-86 school year is President: Dr. Geer McKee, Mr. David Brown, Mr. Jeffery Grynwald, Mrs. Sara Jackson, Mr. Charles Schweizer, Mrs. Charlotte Spears, and Mr. Eugene Youree.
