Everyone has something to occupy their free time, whether it's watching television or sitting in a movie theatre munching on popcorn. Some students leave school and get ready for part time jobs while others spend their time looking for jobs. There are any number of activities to occupy students' free time including eating, shopping, going to favorite hangouts, doing homework, dating and Cquite often overlookedj . . . sleeping. It seems apparent that most students would rather have a full 24 hours worth of free time, but anything before 8 p.m. and after 3 p.m. is appreciated. 10 g Student Life 1. They are right about all the work. but school certainly isn't boring. We have one of the best activity programs in the state. Some common activities are intramurals, assem- blies, and pep rallies, which are created to entertain students. Besides these, there have been numerous other activities this year. To start off vvith, the Publications Staff held pie eat- ing contests, hula-hoop contests. and a 50's dress day. The staff also dressed up as ghosts the day of yearbook sales. It was all part of their yearbook campaign. Another memorable activity throughout the year was the buying. selling, and singing of valentines. One activity not to be forgotten was the night the Bearcats Varsity Basketball team played in Reunion Arena preceding a game by the Dallas Mavericks. Student Life - ll
