Science Department Focuses on Today's World Science is a new course focusing on today's world. There are countless opportunities for the science student to find a place in today's world. New careers in the sci- ence field are opening every day. The Science Department at Sherman High is con- cerned with preparing the student for a career in any science field, touching and dwelling on the broad con- cepts of biology, chemistry, and physics. Outstanding in the program are the laboratory assignments. The student is able to see science at work and can better comprehend what is trying to be explained. It prepares students for life in the outside world that will soon be opening up for them. Through the course, the student becomes proficient both in knowl- edge and performance of the aspects of the business field. Business relationships, techniques, attitudes, and knowledge are all necessary for an individual to understand and be able to successfully adiust himself to this important social institution.
