Dr. D. A. McCall President Dr. McCall, an optometrist who has served on the school board for three years, is the father of two daugh- ters, one of whom is a student at SHS. Dr. McCall attended Austin College. BOARD OF EDUCATIO Mrs. Ralph Day Mrs. Day, associate professor of physical education at Austin Col- lege, has one daughter who attends SHS. Mrs. Day was elected to the school board last year. 1-.fi Mr. George Head Vice-President Mr. Head, an employee of Anderson Clayton, was elected to the school board in 1965. We must continue to improve ourselves in the art of living at a rapid pace in order to stay abreast of a rapidly moving civilization. If we are to succeed as individuals and if our country is to continue as the greatest nation on earth, we must continue to grow on knowledge, strength and faith. Our worst enemies are complacency and ignorance. Set your goals high and strive to achieve themg success and happiness will come to you. Qkawf Qrfri- MR. WALTER CARPENTER Mr. Carpenter has been principal of Sherman High School, for seven years, and has served Sherman Public Schools for twenty-eight years. He has also served as principal for elementary and junior high schools. Mr. Carpenter is a native of Sherman, and attended Sherman schools. He received his Mas- ter's Degree from North Texas State University. He is a member of the Rotary Club and attends the First Christian Church.
