To wear a gray cap and gown, to change the tassel from left to right, to receive a diploma-these are all symbols of attainment of standards set for our further education or for our practical application in work of what we have learned at Sherman High School. What we have done during this school year to earn the receipt of these sym- bols is recorded in this yearbook, how- ever, many things that We have done this year were impossible to record pic- torially - the guidance programs Work- ed out for our home-rooms. Career Day sponsored by the Presidents' Cabinet, honors won in the National Honor So- ciety and Pepsi-Cola scholarship tests, the gift of our maroon velvet drapes in the auditorium by the PTA - many nice things have happened to us this year. TO BE A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE-the goal of our first four classes: I AM A HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE - to be the words of us who are graduating. ' We want to give special thanks to many businessmen throughout the Sherman area for their splendid financial support of our yearbook.
