SUPERINTENDENT It was our good luck that our Superintendent, Mr. R. L. Speer, was with us all during our high school years. It gave us a greater feeling of security to know that we had in charge of our school a man whose experience with school affairs made him very capable of seeing that our school maintained its highest standards during the difficult War years. A Greater Sherman High School is a program that was launched during the second semester of this year. To Mr. Speer we say, Thank you for having done so much in the sixteen years you have been with us to recognize as Superintendent for eight years, the first three requisites in our fourfold program: the provision of adequate physical facilities, a sound administration, and the provision of a highly- trained and well-paid facultyg and for what you contributed during the eight years you were Principal of the High School to the fourth requisite: a student body with high morale.
