M YY A N f if I 52 if wg .5 ' QP-2353 3 P' 'fix Dedication Wtth slncere affecuon and hrgh regard the class of 1958 dedtcates thls Wtldcat to Mr Edward Westerllng Mr Westerllng was born 1n Fredonla New York on June 18 1931 He spent h1s ftrst months ln F redonla and then h1s famlly moved to Erte Pennsylvama the early part of 1932 Mr Westerlmg attended Jones Grade School through the stxth grade and then went to East High School from seventh through twelfth grades Durmg htgh school Mr Westerllng played basketball for four years and was a member of the vars1ty team 1n h1s sophomore year He also played golf for four years football two years and was a member of the Cho1r, Glee Club and H1 Y In September of 1949 Mr Westerlxng started classes at Gannon College tn Erte. He was a member of the Golden Kmghts basketball team for three years and also was on the college golf team for four years The fO11OW1l'lg October lst Mr Westerltng was drafted mto the army and spent a year and a half of h1s two year duty ln Germany Whtle 1n Europe he d1d an extens1ve amount of travelmg and was also a member of the Landstuhl Army Hospttal basketball team. Mr Westerllng returned from overseas ln August of 1955 and began h1s teachmg career at Sherman Central School ln September of that same year He teaches Engltsh 1n the ,Tumor Hxgh Department Freshmen C1t1zen Educanon, and coached J V Basketball tn 55 56 and Varstty Basketball 1n 56 57 and 57 58.
