Pam Avant said that she had to ask Mr. Brown to help her find her first period class be- cause she didn't know where it was. Chase Coleman said, I didn't know where my classes were and l was scared that the upperclass- men would pick on me when I was trying to find them. Lisa Forte said that the only bad thing about her first day at SHS was that her first class was in the sen- lor hall. Other than that, she said, it was pretty easy. The first day of school brings about many different feelings. There is fear among Freshmen and new students because they have no idea where their classes are. There is glee and happiness for the folks who are seeing their friends again for the first time in three months. Dlsgust is present in the hearts and minds of those who were 'having too much fun to come back to school.' For the Seniors, there is a tinge of sad- ness because it is their last first fs? After the classes go to their des- ignated places and receive their schedules Qllke Kim Baxley, Missy Barnes, and Rhonda Vance are do- ingl, you see friends exchanging schedules, comparing them to see if they have for don't have?l any classes together. There is groaning in the air as the bell rings and 'the door is unlocked' to a new year. This book gives us A LOOK ON THE INSIDE of this year.
