1. Superintendent Larry Kieckbusch returned to the classroom this year to teach senior P.A.D. 2. Linda Walter (clerk) is joined by Janet Wellman (secretary) to man the SHS office. 3. The hungry bodies are fed by cooks Monica Maloney and Lou Birdsill. 4. BOS DRIVERS: Dick Hoover. Frank Moore and Arlee Staley. 5. JANITORS: Jack Simonsen, Matt Petersen and Dennis Knutson. 6. After 26 years at the Sheridan Schools, Jack Simonsen retired in May. We ll all miss you. Jack! 18

Road to State Girls' basketball began August 17, 1987, with great ex- pectations. Sixteen girls par- ticipated in this sport: three seniors, four juniors, four sophomores, and five freshmen. Their season began with eight non-conference games. They won four and lost four. Next were the conference games. The record was a little better: 8 and 2. The girls advanced to the district tournament held in Dillon ranked first and ended up winning the tournament for the third consecutive year. Two weeks later they were off to divisionals in Missoula. They received the second place trophy and advanced to the state tournament held in Lewistown. The Sheridan girls' basket- ball team of 1987 placed fourth in the state with a final record of 18 and 9. This was the first team to go to the state com- petition from Sheridan. 20
