Football Update The 1986 Panther football team started out strong. Panthers included three freshmen, three sophomores, four juniors and five seniors. Of the five seniors Fritz Bieler, Scott Wessel and Paul Pallas were part of the team for four years and were named team captains for the ’86 season. Practice for the Panthers began the middle of August and the hard work paid off as the Panthers’ season was a winning one with four games won and three lost. The team’s winning season was attributed to having very “coachable athletes” and “great output from young players.”
