Spirit RaiBErs The cheerleaders' job is to get the crowd yelling positive things, no matter how hard that may seem. This was the first year at S.H.S. that we have chosen varsi- ty cheerleaders twice: once for football and then again for basketball. There were only two football cheerleaders this year, but that didn't mean there was any less cheering. Sue and Nancy helped cheer the boys into a winning season All eight basketball cheerleaders made up routines to songs. One of their dances was to Rock and Roll Party in the Street by Styx. It was always exciting to see which pyramid the girls would do after the school song, and once in a while the crowd even got a little tumbling demonstra- tion. It was fun for the crowd, but not too exciting for the cheerleaders who ended up on the bottom of the pile!!! 1. FOOTBALL CHEERLEADERS: Sue Babcock and Nancy Jo Edmisten. 2.
