HamEcnming Highlights S.H.S.'s homecoming festivities started on September 16 with the traditional parade through downtown Sheridan. The American Legion led the parade and was followed by the football and basketball players riding on the fire trucks with the floats close behind. The sophomores won first prize money of $25 with the slogan Burn those Bears! The seniors received second, freshmen third, and the juniors pulled an honorable mention for their efforts. After the morning events, the Panthers met the Lima Bears on the battlefield with the Pan- thers taking an easy victory. The final score was the Panthers 28, the Bears 18. Andrew Swager led the Panthers offensively with 116 yards on 21 carries, and scoring two touchdowns. Jared Wright and Tony Tezak each scored a touchdown. Way to go Panthers!! The Seniors, Wade Wright and Korinne Lueck, were crowned King and Queen. Other homecoming royalty were Juniors: Justin Rule and Nancy Jo Edmisten; Sophomores: Shane Escott and Audra Shaw; Freshmen: Bill Kemph and Janet Ostler. The S.H.S.
