Julie Simonsen, Shauna Burke, Elizabeth Swager Rebecca Wood. The -1982 girl’s basketball season started off with a bang as they defeated Class B Whitehall for the first time in years. The girls then went into a slump as they only added two other wins to their non-conference re- cord. The Purple Cats had only four wins when they en- tered district play, but ended up with third place as they surpassed Lima with a desperation shot at the buzzer. The girls had a tough tournament and met every team from the district in tournament action. All in all the season was a rewarding one for everyone participating.
