FHA The FHA's 1974-75 year started with initiation on Sep- tember 3. On September 18, members were hostesses for the District Convention held at the Tobacco Root Guest Ranch. The annual Chili Supper-Flea Market was held November 12. Community Christmas Caroling was enjoyed on December 17. On February 4, the girls hon- ored their fathers with the Father-Daughter Banquet. Follow- ing this was election of officers on March 11. Some of the girls were then off to Missoula for the State FHA Convention, March 20-22. The year ended with installa- tion of officers May 6. LR-Mark Reinmuth, Dan Dedman, Joe Nottingham, and Mark Cox prepare for bachelorhood.

FFA Tune 10, DavidHoffman and Mike Stender journeyed to Washington DC as the Ruby Valley FFA Chapter's represent- atives to the National Presidents' Conference. Members displayed a booth and competed in judging contests at the State Fair. They also sold concessions at the Madison County Fair. The school year started out with FFA Leadership Training Schools in Belgrade with all the newly elected officers participating. The Chapter then sponsored the Second Annual Ruby Invitational Livestock Judging Contest. Mike Stender took high point honors and the Chapter finished up in second place. On October 7, the members went to Dillon for Greenhand and Chapter Farmer Degree Initiation. Scott Descheemaeker, Ed Tezak, Garth Elser, Janet Marsh, Julie Turney, Joe Tezak, Bill Buyan, and Rusan Schulz were the delegates to the National FFA Convention held in Kansas City, Missouri. A judging team, consisting of Mike Stender, Joe Tezak, Dennis Descheemaeker, and Garth Elser, took sixth place at the Northern International Livestock Exposition. The chapter sponsored a dance November 16. Mike Stender, Dan Allhands, Bill Buyan, and Rob MacKenzie were the livestock judging team at the Winter Fair. The team placed first in the District and twelfth overall in the state. Bill Buyan was the high man on the team.
