Mr. Gary Anderson, freshman class adviser; BS degree Montana State University in mathematics; instructor in chemis- try, calculus, driver's education, geometry, algebra II; third year on SHS teaching staff. Mr. Dan Lantis. FFA adviser; BS degree in agriculture education from Montana State University; joined the SHS teaching staff in 1970; instructor in vo-ag I and II, power mechanics, ag business, livestock production, welding I and II, and girls' shop. To listen with an open mind and heart To him whose group is in minority, And by an honest sharing to impart A common bond of real authority. To work for that which would improve my school To vote for change, not merely criticize, Knowing that education as a tool Can build foundations where world peace shall rise. Mr. John Funk, senior class adviser; BS degree Western Montana College with majors in math and science; came to SH§ in the fall of 1972; teaches general math, algebra, intermediate math, and eighth grade math and science. Mrs. Lowell Paige, BS degree in secondary education from WMC with majors in English and music; second year on SHS teaching staff; teaching English mechan- ics, communications, and all high school music classes; began a music program in the grade school in 1973-74 school year. Mrs. Larry Kieckbusch received her BS degree in education from West- ern Montana College; came to SHS teaching staff in the fall of 1972, teaches girls' P. E. and directs drill team; taught in Whitefish for one year and at Butte Business College for a half year. Faculty I Would Teach To this my chosen field, dear Lord, I'd bring An understanding heart, an open mind, A spirit interested in everything, A discipline that's always wise and kind. I would be patient, give me, Lord, I pray This talent over skills I might possess That I shall stop and think before I say Some hurtful thing whose power I cannot guess. I would bring out the best in those I teach By loving care and genuine concern, That growth of mind and heart in them shall reach Beyond all textbook lessons they must learn. 16

grade school YOUNGSTERS ARE CHILDREN OF GOD . . . reaching for the values that will determine their qualities as adults. They are apprentices in life who need love and under- standing, skilled and compassionate direction, companionship of other children, and programs to develop themselves spirit- ually, mentally, and physically. They are our joy today and hope for tomorrow.
