faces of his teammates as they walked slowly toward the practice field. Maybe, just maybe, the smash- ing together of bodies and the taste of sweat in their mouths would take away the pain of their great loss. But they knew deep down inside that it wouldn't. A Tribute to Kay Tolson The student body of Twin Bridges was grieved to hear of the tragic death of Ray Tolson of Sheridan. To all of us, his fierce competitiveness and his friendly spirit will surely be missed. i feel, as I'm sure others feel, that the best tribute we can give to Ray is to reflect what he did and more important how he did it, in our school associations and in our lives, Twenty-two men, out together and each alone. And lonelier being together. We had no way out, but to make a team of twenty-two fight as twenty-three. And so we did and so we are, tackling, blocking, busting the line eight man ball, with the strength of nine. by Pliil Cox By Howe Lemm, Editor of the FALCON FLASH Twin Bridges High School October 15, 1969
