The year is now 1983 and the Sheridan Class of 1963 has met in Sheridan for their class reunion. The first member to arrive is Kay Mortensen. Kay is known the world over for her creative hair styles. She is trying to give her basset hound a poodle hair cut, and drive at the same time. It is only natural that this violation would bring on the appearance of a law officer of some sort. It so happens that the class's own highway patrolman, Lou Brown, is on his way to the reunion and happens by just in time to catch Kay. A loud roar of drums brings on our Peace Corp member Kelly Baril. Kelly and her husband are working in South Africa and Kelly has made the trip up here by safari especially for the opportunity to see her class members again. We hear a thunder of hoofs and look out the window just in time to see Kathy Green gallop into the building on a green camel. Kathy has started the first camel ranch in the state. These camels are especially valuable because they come in all colors. We notice a crowd outside the building and go out to see what the trouble is. It appears that Bill Sheehan and Ray Stolp have arrived in their new V-8 space shop. They have taken time to drop down from Mars to visit the members of their graduating class. The next member of the class to arrive is Jack Piippo. It's rather shocking to see Jack because he has large pine trees growing out of his head. It appears that Jack has become a forest ranger and while looking for the hair tonic got his new tree growing formula instead. Next comes Scott Allen the class of 63's Ben Casey. Scott has become a doctor and has made such an impression on the medical profession that he was taken out of it and is to star on a new medical show on television. A gold Cadillac approaches and slows to a stop. The ex-student body President, Dan Marsh, climbs out. Dan has become a very successful banker and changed his name to Danny Sol. Next appears a brown and white 1958 Ford. After finishing eight years of college in fashion co- ordinating, Karla Gilman married her high school sweetheart. They have eight children, two dalmation dogs, one bird, and a large mink ranch. Next comes the boy the class voted most likely to sack seed, Bill Galiger. Bill has a very successful wheat farm in the Ruby Valley. Bill is having a little trouble. He might own half the valley but he is still not a happy man. His nearest neighbor is giving him a quite extreme case of ulcers. Jerry Wel- boum owns the other half of the valley. Jerry has a large cattle ranch. Jerry and Bill are engaged in an old fashioned range war. But with Bill's thirteen daughters and Jerry's thirteen sons this war may end soon. Over in one corner of the room we see Louise Wessel, secretary to an espionage agent. She is madly taking down the entire conversation of the reunion in shorthand. We also see Alan Paige and Glenda Gum at our reunion. They seem to have gone for education in a big way. They jointly run a private co-educational college in Alder. As the reunion draws to a close we see that every member of the class has been successful. We hope to meet again in another twenty years which will bring us to the year 2003. 13
