CHEERLEADERS Patsy Brunner, Doris Jackson, and Ann Bieler This year the cheerleaders led the snake dances through town and the yells afterwards. For football they had white sweaters and purple skirts. During basketball season and for the tournament they had white satin outfits trimmed in white bunny fur. S” CLUB FRONT ROW, L. The officers of the S Club for 1951-52 were: Ken Long -- president, John Magnus -- vice president, Harry Odden -- secre- tary and treasurer. The S Club had its annual picnic up Mill Creek. Keith Burnett Brian Walter, and John Allhands. Pep Club officers this year were: Doris Shaffer, president; John Allhands, vice president; Nina Miller, secretary and treasurer. The club was very active throughout the year. It bought paper to wrap goal posts for football games, and it also bought megaphones for the school. Pep rallies were well attended and everyone really backed the team. FOOTBALL TEAM L. TO R., FIRST ROW: Art Bieler, Manager, Larry Schulz, Ken Long, Jay Shafer, Doug Salmonsen, Fay Long, John Magnus, Brian Walter, Walt Salmonsen, Phil Stine. SECOND ROW: Coach Thomas, Gary Berryman, Anson Reynolds, Phil Smith, Harry Odden, Clark Hansen, Neal Barth, John Simonsen. Lonnie Durham, Gary Stine, Manager. The 1951 football season was very successful. The team had a slow start but picked up speed as the season progressed. At the beginning of the season SHS beat Three Forks, but lost to White- hall. They again entered the winning streak by defeating Ennis and Willow Creek. Sheridan was defeated by Twin Bridges in a play-off and Boulder received their first defeat of the season from Sheridan.
