The class of 1978 graudated May 21, 1978. This year Jody Ottinger and Tim Coppess were Co- Valedictorlans and Sharon Henley was Salutatorian. Jack Remson, graduate of the Class of 1942, was selected Alumnus of the Year. Seventy-six seniors recieved diplomas from Mr. Pence. After turning their tassels, the seniors set forth to leave their mark on the world. 19

They started out by selling Cokes and candy at lunch time. Still early in the year, they sold magazines and that surely did make a great profit for our class. Everyone was eager to work and make money for the class, especially since there were great prizes to work for. When football homecoming came, the Juniors ended up with second place on the float and the spirit award. They also proved the power of the class by winning both girls' and boys' tug-of-war. These battles were against all the other high school classes. All in all, the Juniors had a terrific year.
