lender Moments. Queen Loric and all her glory. With Tears in Her Eyes and a smile on her face . . . The 1971 Football Homecoming activities found the students all 'Tired up as the bon- fire began on Thursday evening. The announce- ment of Mr and Miss Irresistable Chris Wallace and Beth Nelson climaxed the mood set b the bonfire. A highlight of Fridas afternoon was the Powder Puff football game following the an- nual Homecoming Parade. The plav-off game was won bv the “Super Sophs. Right from the beginning, homecoming was success bound especially for the Senior Class. The Seniors earned first place in spirit and float competition. The FFA Spread the Gophers and took first place with their show- case decor. Miss Loric Henderson took time out from her chcerlcading activities to be crowned Queen of the 1971 Football Homecoming. The three football co-captains. Mike Harwood. Joe Hcf- flemire. and David Kinkead. each congratulated her with a kiss as she received her crown and roses. Miss Lvnne Linton and Miss Betty Faucett were the two Senior candidates of her court. The Hawks came out on top with a 13-8 victory over the Clinton Prairie Gophers. For the grand finale. Mike Harwood was crowned Football King during the dance bv the Powder Puff champions. When Bill’s away the mice will play.
