Seniors Spent Carefree, Eventful Days in Washington D.C. May 12 was the beginning of the event Seniors had been working and waiting for—the five day trip to Washington D.C. They arrived in the capital city that evening after a tiresome bus ride. During the week the Seniors visited several places of interest, including the Washington Monument, the Capitol Building, the Smithsonian Institution, the Supreme Court Building, and Arlington National Cemetery. The last night of the trip was spent in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Mr. McKinney accepts literature about the people fasting for peace in Lafayette Park across from the White House. 19

Once the Seniors took a trip, took a trip. Down to Washington they went, they went, and found the trip to be quite a dip. This is what the tour guide said, tour guide said. Boys and girls on separate floors, separate floors. Just be sure to lock your doors, lock your doors. And remember what the Miller tour guide said. No two Seniors in one bed, in one bed! After miles of walking in Washington, tired feet with callouses were displayed. 18
