The Show Went on Through Rain and Mud Although our floats had been ruined by the afternoon's rain and couldn't appear at the game, the Queen Candidates, Princesses, and their es- corts ignored the mud long enough for a Home- coming program. Marianna Pettigrew, Freshman Princess, was escorted by her classmate Mike Boyer. The Sophomores chose Debbie Sainz, her escort was Gary Calvert. Allen Pettigrew escorted Junior Princess Sue Cody. A secret ballot election was held to choose a Homecoming Queen. Harriett Bennett, Susan Ringer, and Gloria Remsen were the candidates selected by the Senior Class. Gloria was crowned Queen and presented roses by muddy but happy football players John Kendall and Donnie Law during the halftime program.

Homecoming Queen Gloria Remsen doesn't seem to mind the mud on Senior Class President John Kendall and Team Captain Donnie Law. Gloria, a Varsity Cheerleader was escorted by George Good. Harriett Bennett took time from her duties as Drum Majorette to be a Senior Princess. Her escort is Kenny Kincaid. Susan Ringer is escorted by Rick Vawter. Student Council member Susan worked hard to make the Homecoming festivi- ties possible. 11
