The evening began with a pre-game performance by the SHS Marching Band. The queen and court were escorted onto the field and presented flowers by senior football players: Scott Bailey, Jeff Canaday, Steve Carpenter, Mark Collins, Eric Forgrave, David Grant, Matt Hupp, Andy Patterson, Cheyenne Wells, and junior John Russell. Queen Molly Miller was crowned by Kevin Krumlauf after which she delivered her speech. Ladies of the court were ushered to their seats by seniors: Kyle Danison, Jason Hinkle, Jon Landerman, Brian Smart, and Kurt Wright. Spirited by a 20-6 victory over Philo, students proceeded to the gymnasium for the dance. There's so much to remember, and so much still ahead, I wish you all the good things you can find. When you find someone who needs you, may you share the song in your heart and discover all the joy that it can bring. So when you're feeling lonely, and no one seems to care, and you feel you want to hide or run away, think back on all the good times, the things we used to share, remember what 1 wished for you today. Always remember the song, the song in your heart.
