Treasure Island Is Prom Theme This year the junior-senior prom was held on Saturday, May 14th. The junior class chose the theme of ‘‘Treasure Island at the class meeting in March. The side walls of the gymnasium were decorated with a water scene on one side and a thick underbrush of jungle forest on the other. The concession stand was inside a cave at one end of the gym, and pictures were taken at a waterfall along the side wall. The Nelson Foucht Sextet provided the music for the dance. Dinner of shrimp, stuffed potatoes, cole slaw, and rolls with fish shaped butter were served with an appetizer of pina colada. Strawberry cheesecake was the dessert. Waiters were dressed as pirates. The invocation was given by Jeff Barber, and after the dinner, junior class president Scott Eickelberger gave the welcome. President of the senior class, John Tracy gave the response. For entertainment, John Tracy gave the history of the senior class, and Scott Eickelberger read “The Search of the Class of '83' which was the prophecy written by the junior class. After the dance anyone wishing to, went to see “Max Dugan Returns” at Cinema 4. Breakfast was waiting at the school for all still awake when they returned.
