1982 Homecoming On October 1, 1982, Sheridan held its annual homecoming. Darlene Cannon was selected as queen for this year. Freshman Ylarabeth Smith, sophomore Leann Snider, junior Christy Fouch, and senior Brenda Crossan served as the queen's attendants. Before the game, the queen and her court paraded around the football field in Corvettes. After being crowned by Student Council President Karen Walker, Darlene Cannon thanked her parents, friends, and fellow students. After her speech, the queen was escorted to her seat to watch the football game against the Philo Electrics. In the close game, the Generals defeated Philo by a score of 6-0.
