Besides losing the game and receiving much rain, ceremonies were not held in the tradi- tional manner. With the field being muddy, the cars that were to bring out the queen and court could not be used. Ceremonies were moved to the stands at the last minute. FOOTBALL MANIA was chosen as the theme of this year’s homecoming dance and float. Cindi Goldsberry reigned as 1979 Homecoming queen and was crowned by Student Council president Sherman Shoemaker, Senior attendant was Jackie Boyer; junior attendant was Melinda Lynn; sophomore attendant was Tammy Emmert; and freshman attendant was Sheila Hubbard. Five senior foot- ball players served as escorts and one presented flowers.
