Art Club aids other groups at Sheridan High The Art Club continued its excel- lent service to the school this year. One of their biggest projects was their “Yankee Know How Home- coming float. They also made the backdrops and props for the min- strel and spring musical. To show school interest and spirit in sports, they designed posters for the gym.

Band entertains football fans The band was busy this year as usual. Besides playing in vari- ous concerts and contests, band members made the trip to Cedar Point for their second year. The band marched in the Memorial Day parades in Somerset, Thorn- ville, and Glenford. At the annual Christmas Concert held by the chorus, the band plays a number selected by their instructor, Mr. Nick Cal- derone. DRILL TEAM — FRONT ROW: Lynn Fouch, Linda Cochrun, and Melodie Thompson. ROW 2: Selena Rayburn, Dede Garey, Kath leen Holmes, Janet Hockingberry, Becky Wolfe, and Gail Bailey. STAGE BAND — FRONT ROW: Lisa McGlone, Tammy Rouse, Becky Cook, and Vern Ellis. ROW 2: Judy Hampshire, Melanie Lynn, Dave Gotschall, Dan Miller, and Lynn King. ABOVE: Some Sheridan students get a chance to hear bands from other schools in the band concert exchange program. The Humanities class enjoys one of these per formances by Washington Courthouse which was held in the junior high gymna sium. ABOVE RIGHT: Playing at the Band 28 Band Banquet is the saxophone section of the band. This group is made up of Dave Gotsc- hall, Judy Hampshire, Lynn King, Melanie Lynn, and Dan Miller.
