QHS band adds a touch of class The Sheridan High School Band per- formed at all the home basketball games. They along with the chorus sponsored a concert for the public. At the tournament baseball games they made the spirit move the Generals on to victory. Winning the John Philip Sousa Award for 1 975-1 976 school year were Carol Blunt and Beth Pflueger. As the closing of the school year approached they performed at the three different communities of the dis- trict for Memorial Day. GHQ students give the public entertainment Three hundred and fifty-eight stu- dents were members of the Sheridan High School Chorus. Of those members three were members of the Ohio Youth Choir, two were members of the national FFA Chorus, thirteen were in the State FFA Chorus, and many partic- ipated in the OMEA (Ohio Music Edu- cation Association) Auditions. The boys octet joined with the girls octet to form the “Singing Generals.” They spent much time in preparation and practice to become the best. 28 Chorus
